Competence 1

My worldview is entrenched in the belief that life is centered around the concept of good versus evil, and that our daily choices will determine our future destiny. My belief is in one God who is the epitome of righteousness and all that is good, who gives us overcoming power to triumph over evil. The Great Controversy provided a framework of the reality we live in. My research is focusing on the effects of quality of care, job satisfaction and competitive advantage on organization’s performance. There is an apparent battle between providing quality care and substandard care to patients in an outpatient facility. The performance of an organization could be impacted by the quality of care that is provided. In early Ministry, Jesus provided care to the sick and dying; care that was compassionate, empathetic, and holistic. Similarly, I believe that individuals can exemplify Christ-likeness in the daily performance of their patient care duties, by allowing Him to take control of their life. Clinicians have a responsibility to ensure that they are benevolent towards their patients, and encourage a healthy work environment, where staff are educated, empowered and motivated to perform to the best of their ability. The effects of competitive advantage on organizational performance suggested that an organization can compete on the quality of the services they provided. The excellency of a workforce and employees’ performance can help provide an organization with a competitive advantage over other competing facilities.
