My adult son constantly reminded me that Warren Buffet, the American billionaire, who is considered to be one of the most successful investors in the world, acquired most of his wealth from investment. In fact, the stock market is a place where investors share in the financial success of their companies, invest in personal stocks and bonds, make profits through capital gains, and receive dividends from certain stocks. The finance segment of this course afforded me the opportunity to trade on a simulated stock exchange market, which was like the real stock exchange. This generated a great deal of excitement for me as I was willing to take more risks in buying and selling stocks, which I would not do in a real-life situation. This course taught me know stocks which are considered safe to invest in. I am still reluctant to take certain risks at this stage in my life. Financing is an integral part of life, as there have to be some form of financial stability.
